Pegging

Pegging is the anal penetration of a male partner by a female partner with a strap-on dildo or vibrator. Pleasurable for both parties, men can enjoy prostate massage while women can receive clitoral stimulation, either from the pressure created by the harness during thrusting or with the use of a bullet vibrator placed between the dildo and her labia. Additionally to the obvious physical enjoyment derived from pegging, the role reversal has psychological pleasures too – men can discover the receiver’s perspective of penetrative sex and indulge in the vulnerability that comes with it while women can explore the dominance and power over their partner’s body and sexual satisfaction.

This form of intercourse has been largely taboo for straight men to experiment with in mainstream cultures, however with a few notable inclusions in popular culture (UK’s Peep Show in 2005, Weeds in 2006, Broad City in 2015 and Deadpool in 2016) and with the slow build of men’s sexual liberation, the tide seems to be turning and pegging is becoming trendy and more and more sought after. Interesting fact though that the term “pegging” was only coined and widely accepted in 2001 after an online vote on popular internet advice columnist, Dan Savage’s site. Bobbing and punting were the other front-runners, but pegging won by a large majority of the votes.

Prepare, Practice, Peg – A Few Tips

There are a few things to note for anyone preparing to try pegging for the first time and you will be able to advise your customers just by following a couple of guidelines.

  1. As with all types of anal play, lubrication is essential so always make sure that your pegging wannabe customers are leaving with either some dedicated anal or other long-lasting type of lube such as the Lubido Anal Lubricant, the Sliquid Sassy or the YES Anal Water-based Natural Personal Lubricant.
  2. Making sure that the strap-on harness fits its wearer perfectly is really important as ill-fitted straps will get in the way and can utterly diminish the control of the penetrator making the experience less enjoyable for both parties.
  3. For first-timers, the dildo should be slim and slightly curved upwards as this will provide prostate stimulation with every thrust and can offer greater thrust-control to women too as the dildo’s weight and length won’t confuse their senses and hip-movements.
  4. A non-phallic dildo should help heterosexual men combat some prevailing doubts and reservations they may have in regards to anal penetration. That being said, slightly larger realistic dildos can excite and thrill with the sheer aesthetics of a female partner with their new phallic attachment.
  5. Speaking of which, women often enjoy and delighted by the appearance and feel of having an extra pleasure tool in their disposal (even if only temporarily), so it’s best to allocate some time for them to walk around and get familiar with their newfound poker.
  6. Communication and foreplay is key, as the more aroused the male partner is, the more sensitive and enlarged his prostate will become making the eventual penetration all the more pleasurable.
  7. While women will enjoy the power exchange and role reversal involved, it’s important for them to remember that vigorous thrusting and pounding is unlikely to please a first timer and a gentle, heavily lubed up approach should lead to better results.
  8. In terms of positions, doggy style is the classic for pegging, however, many aficionados swear by the more intimate face-to-face, missionary style. This allows partners to communicate without words, lock eyes and monitor their partner’s bodily reactions more closely. Not to mention that the curved dong mentioned above will work a lot better on his prostate in this position too.

With all this in mind, here are three bestsellers that can get your customers pegging in no time:

SI Novelties Petite 5inch Strap-on Dildo and Vibrating Harness – this is a great beginners’ option to start out in pegging (while also caters to lesbian customers) as it is smooth, flexible and slim. With just 5 inches of length and 1inch girth, the dildo is also curved slightly to hit the P-spot (or the G-spot) right where it’s best. It can be used with any harness with an O-ring, but we do recommend the Si Novelties Vibrating Harness with it as it features a powerful bullet vibrator for the wearer’s pleasure and it is fully adjustable fitting UK dress sizes from 4 to 40.

Simply Strapless Small Strap On Vibrator – this one is for the slightly more experienced and adventurous. Designed to please and satisfy both the giver and the receiver, the toy has a bulb on one end that can be inserted vaginally or anally and this holds the dildo end in place for the penetration of a partner. It takes some practice to master the control of a strapless strap-on, but once perfected, pegging with this innovative toy can take things to the next level. Why settle for the full sexual satisfaction of just one play partner when they can both chase that orgasm simultaneously?

King Cock Strap-On Harness with 6” Cock – dominating the realistic dildo market, King Cock lives up to its name with its high quality, handcrafted, state-of-the-art dongs. For those looking for a realistic, phallic option, this strap-on harness provides steady control and a beginner-friendly, 6inch cock. The thong harness is fully adjustable and comfortably fits waists up to 52inches. The dildo has a suction cup base so it can be used without the harness, while the harness features an O-ring, so your customers will be able to up- or downgrade in size after their first couple of tries.

Pro Tip: The use of a small to medium sized butt plug before pegging can help men to relax the anus and prepare for the kinky act to follow. Offer your customers an easy starter kit like the Loving Joy Triple Dip so they can start their anal exploration comfortably.
